TUAN DIRGA

Saturday, August 19, 2017, Student Council (OSIS) of SMA Negeri 3 Bandung held an event called "Tuan Dirga (Tujuh Puluh Dua Tahun Dirgahayu Indonesia)". This event held in order to celebrate the 72 years Independence Day of Indonesia. This event is for 10th grade students.

At 7 am, this event started. We did many traditional games there. The first game is "galah asin" or "gobak sodor". The players on this game consists of 10 children each team. These children are l to be two teams. The Guardian team and the attacking team. Each players of the teams must move along the transverse. So the foot must always steps this line. Each team attacking, from the base must through all the transverse. And if one of the players can go back to the base without touching team guard, so the winner is team attacking. If the team guard can touch one of the player of team attacking so the winner is team guard. And then the team guard change to be team attacking and vice versa. In this game, my team (X-Science 6) won the game.

The next game is "bakiak". this game is played in groups which each group racing to get to the finish. Unfortunately, my class lose in this game.

The third game is "Boi-boian" or "Boy-boyan". This is a traditional game from West Java. This game played by 10-12 person divided into 2 groups. The first group is  attacker: a group who throw the ball into the rival group’s body to make them can’t arrange the heap. But, attacker can’t bring the ball while attacker is running. Attacker should stand and throw the ball to the rival’s body in the same place where attacker gets the ball. The second group is arranger: a group who should arrange the heap full again and avoid from the ball which rival group throw. If arranger is touched by the ball, it means the arranger can’t arrange the heap again. 

The first thing to do before you start the game is make heap from small stone. After that, the arranger team throw the ball to the heap. If the heap collapse, the arranger team should arrange the heap back. When the arranger team's trying to arrange the heap, the attacker team should attack the arranger team with the ball. If the arranger team can arrange the heap, they win. But, if the attacker team can touch all member of the arranger team, they win.

My class won this game.

The last game is Tug of War or we called it "Tarik Tambang".  This is a sport that directly puts two teams against each other in a test of strength: teams pull on opposite ends of a rope, with the goal being to bring the rope a certain distance in one direction against the force of the opposing team's pull. But we lose.

After that, we got a mission. We should seek for letters and arrange it into word "TUJUH PULUH DUA TAHUN DIRGAHAYU INDONESIA". Those letters are hidden by members of Student Council. We can find all letters and completed the mission.

And then, there was one more game. It's relay race. We should put a ball on a bottle with ropes. To get the ropes, the first player should take and give the ropes to second player, the second player give them to third player, and until the last player. The last players should tie the ropes to the ball and put it on the top of the bottle.

After all the games were done, we went to the basketball field and there was announcement of the winner. And you guess what? MY CLASS IS THE 3RD CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were very happy because we won and got donuts!! And for closing this event, there was a performance by Band 3.
