Tur Budaya 2019

March 17, 2019.
We were going to Bali!!!!!!!!! On Sunday, we went to Husein Sastranegara International Airport at 10. We gathered there and wait for our flight to Bali! We flew with Air Asia and arrived in Bali 4.30 PM. We used to go to Tanah Lot, but it was to late, so we decided to go straight to Jimbaran. We took photos in Jimbaran Beach while we were waiting for the food. As the food arrived, we ate our dinner. But unfortunately, the rain was falling hard. We can’t continue our dinner and just went to hotel. We stayed at Quest Hotel for 3 nights.

Our second day in Bali! First, we ate our breakfast in hotel. Then, we went to Tanjung Benoa Beach for watersport. But my friends and I didn’t do the watersport. We only took photos there and played on the beach. After that, we ate our lunch there. After lunch, we went to Puja Mandala Mosque. Puja Mandala is a unique landmark in Nusa Dua, serving as a perfect example of how five of Indonesia’s major religions can live harmoniously side-by-side, despite their differences in beliefs and ways of worshiping. In a single compound, the site has a Hindu temple, a grand mosque, a Buddhist temple and both a Catholic and Protestant church.

After we did dzuhur, we went to Pandawa Beach. We arrived there at 12, so it was so hot. So, we were hurry to leave that beach and go to Garuda Wisnu Kencana. Garuda Wisnu Kencana, or GWK for short, is the name of a cultural park on Bali’s hilly southern coast famous for the ongoing construction of a gigantic statue of Vishnu riding on the back of a ‘garuda’ (a supernatural eagle-like being). The completed part of the statue is of the upper part of Vishnu’s body, the head of the ‘garuda’ and Vishnu’s hands. In GWK, we took group photos. After group photos, we got free time. So, we rode bicycle around GWK Cultural Park.
After that, we went to Bali Nusa Dua Theatre to watch Devdan Show. Devdan Show, Treasure of the Archipelago is a spectacular, must-see theatrical stage performance that shows regularly at the Bali Nusa Dua Theatre. The show takes you through 90 minutes of stunning visuals, and the storyline lets you enjoy a fantastical tour of the Indonesian Archipelago, focusing on its cultural diversity with island-hopping episodes, from Bali to Sumatra, Java, Borneo and Papua. The acts are combined with world-class aerial acrobatics and mind-blowing dance choreography.
After watched Devdan Show, we went back to hotel.

Third day in Bali! We started our day with breakfast, then, we went Tirta Empul Temple. Tirta Empul is an important temple complex and holy mountain spring, located in the village of Manukaya in central Bali. The site serves as a legendary setting of a traditional tale about good versus evil. It is also a national cultural heritage site. We were taking photos there and look around the temple. Fortunately, we can see the traditional ritual. After that, we went to Kintamani for lunch.

After lunch, we went to Penglipuran Village. Penglipuran village is a beautiful highland village in the regency of Bangli in East Bali, best known for its well-preserved culture and village layout. While most of its residents have embraced modernity, its individual compounds are well-kept to look traditional with visitors in mind, with manicured gardens lining its single linear stone-paved street that runs through the centre of the village toward the village temple, and age-old arched entrance gates and walls that conceal their houses within. Throughout the years Penglipuran village has evolved into a community-based tourism site. Some villagers even run shops inside, and ‘donations’ are customary but not in any way mandatory.
Unfortunately, the rain was falling hard (again). So, we chose to enter the shop to avoid the rain. After about 45 minutes, the rain stopped, and we went back to hotel to prepare for Malam Keakraban (Makrab). We did the Makrab in Nirmala Hotel. There were performances from MK 3, Band 3, and TS’T. There were also games and door prize. In the end, there was a video from MP3 and OSIS LXVI.

Our last day in Bali We ate our breakfast and checked out from hotel. After checking out, we went to Kuta Beach. We took photos and went to Beachwalk Bali. We bought Starbucks and back to Krisna. We bought souvenirs from Bali there and had lunch. After that, we went to Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. Ulun Danu Beratan, literally ‘the source temple of Lake Beratan’, is easily the island’s most iconic sanctuary sharing the scenic qualities with the seaside temples of Uluwatu and Tanah Lot. The smooth reflective surface of the lake surrounding most of the temple’s base creates a unique floating impression, while the mountain range of the Bedugul region encircling the lake provides the temple with a scenic backdrop. We took sooo many photos there, we wanted to ride a boat, but the wind is so strong so we can’t take the boat.

This is our last place in Bali. From Ulun Danu Beratan, we went home. We took bus to Gilimanuk port in Bali and took the ferry to Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi. We arrived in Banyuwangi at 12 AM.
